L-Phenylalanine, an essential amino acid, is a precursor to the amino acid tyrosine and to a whole series of neurotransmitters (including epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine) and the thyroid hormones. Directions: 1/4 teaspoon daily between meals, preferably in the morning. Ingredients: 1/4 teaspoon supplies: L-Phenylalanine 1 g. Warning: Contains phenylalanine. Not to be used by phenylketonurics, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or with antidepressant drugs such as MAOIÕs or SSRIÕs.
