What is Cat-Nip?
Cat-Nip Nepeta cataria is also known as catnip, catswort, catmint, and field balm. You’ve probably heard of it because of the effect it has on cats, so it’s no surprise that the plant gets its name from the calming response most cats have to it.

What is Cat-Nip Bark used for?
It is believed to come from Nepetalactone, the essential oil that acts as a mild sedative. Cat-Nip is used in teas, infusions, and can even be used in a spray as a natural deterrent to insects.
