Definition:Chlorophyll is the green pigment that plants use to carry out the process of photosynthesis. The greater amount of chlorophyll, the greener the plant. As a food supplement, mineral-rich chlorophyll prompts tissue repair, purifies the blood and the liver and helps to build red blood cells. It also works as a natural deodorizer and tissue healer. In addition, chlorophyll can inhibit the growth of infectious microorganisms, sanitize the colon and treat gum disease. It also promotes the proliferation of friendly intestinal flora. Chlorophyll can also be an excellent source of vitamin K.
