Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin)

Applications:Mental disorders, fatigue, debilitated states, smokers, post-surgery, pernicious anemia, cancer prevention, insomnia, depression, shingles, neuritis, hepatitis, stress, multiple sclerosis, bursitis.
Scientific Data:Several studies support the notion that a vitamin B12 deficiency in the elderly and others may account for psychiatric disturbances.
Recommendations:You will see this vitamin most commonly sold as cyanocobalamin. Methyl cobalamine and adenosylcobalamin are also sources of B12. Some experts consider methyl cobalamine to be more bioactive. Look for sublingual tablets for adequate absorbability. Injections of vitamin B12 are also available.
