Soy-Based Foods

Consumption of soy-based foods such as tofu or soy-based drinks can help decrease the incidence of breast and prostate cancer. Significant scientific evidence supports this particular effect. In addition, soy-based foods also help to lower total cholesterol levels while raising good HDL levels. The isoflavones found in soy are very impressive and should be consumed by every woman. They have the distinct ability to block the effects of bad estrogen in breast tissue and have multiple anticarcinogenic properties as well. I would advise everyone to add tofu to their recipes. My experience with tofu has been that it can be easily added to soups, salads, and many cooked foods.
