Pregnenolone

Definition:Pregnenolone is a naturally occurring hormone that recently proved to have potential health benefits. It is a chemical derivative of cholesterol and is technically considered a steroid like DHEA, cortisol, progesterone, testosterone and estrogen. Pregnenolone is synthesized from cholesterol in several organs. Pregnenolone can be metabolized into progesterone and easily converts into DHEA.
Applications:Pregnenolone is currently in use as a supplement for enhanced brain function, memory deficiencies, Alzheimer's diseases, mood disorders, chronic fatigue, cholesterol levels, lupus, immune weakness, multiple sclerosis, PMS, prostate disease, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, stress and trauma.
