Applications:It is essential for bone and tooth development, heart muscle contraction and proper kidney health. Phosphorus also contributes to the utilization of food for energy. Good for tooth and gum disease, sterility, impotence, equilibrium, muscle disorders, and bone formation.
Interactions:If phosphorus is taken in supplement form it must be balanced out with proper amounts of calcium. Excessive consumption of phosphorus can inhibit calcium uptake. Vitamin D enhances the action of phosphorus.
Recommendations:Most of us need to reduce rather than enhance our phosphorus levels.
