Hops ( Humulus lupulus)

Definition:Hops is best known for its use in the brewing of beer. It is an extremely useful nervine herb which has been traditionally used to calm the central nervous system and safely induce sleep. During the reign of King George, it was used to fill pillows to help promote relaxation during illness. Native Americans utilized hops for and over acidic stomach and for indigestion.
Applications:Insomnia, headaches, hyperactivity, anxiety, fever, nervousness, pain, stress, stomach spasms, inflammation and colon disorders.
