Where is it from?People in northern China began using the Asian variety of ginseng, known as panax ginseng, thousands of years ago for its healing properties. In Russia, Siberian ginseng, or Eleutherococcus senticosus, was originally used by people in the Siberian Tagia region to increase performance and quality of life. The American variety of ginseng, panax quinquefolium, is grown mainly in Wisconsin and is considered to be less stimulating than the Asian root.
What is it used for?Ginseng stimulates the entire body to help overcome stress, increase longevity, fight fatigue and weakness, increase endurance, sharpen concentration and provide energy. It is also used to reduce cholesterol levels, stimulate the immune system, and to restore balance in the body.
