|Applications:||Recently discovered by Japanese scientists, germanium
is an effective antioxidant that can improve rheumatism, arthritis, high
cholesterol, infections, food allergies and pain. Organic germanium can
increase tissue oxygenation.|
|Safety:||No known side effects, although doses larger than 2 grams can
cause skin rash and stool softening. Large doses are not recommended.
Extended ingestion has been associated with kidney problems in some
individuals. Check with your doctor before taking germanium for
extended periods of time.
|Recommendations:||Doses range from 30 to 150 mg per day.
Germanium dioxide is more potent and can lead to kidney dysfunction if
taken in doses over 50 mg per day.
